Their company was in a domain that's going downhill with the rise of AI. We discussed focusing on logic more instead of shifting buttons. I donβt want to be mediocre, I just donβt know what to do for it. There was a lot of anxiety in job-hunting but on the LWD, they picked a 17LPA offer to move forward. It's better to take something concrete in this job market and keep upskilling on the side. Now they can prepare and aim for higher and product companies. Seeing this update made my day! Just wanted to share this and wanted to say thanks again for words of confidence you shared. Now the job switch anxiety out of my way I can fully focus on my transition preparation The tech field is ever evolving. Every few years, the stack changes. New things come in. You have to again become a student. Every time. Lifelong learning is the name of the game. It's better to do so with a calm mindset having something concrete in hand rather than playing life at hard mode! I also had an interesting follow-up discussion with B earlier today. I could see that the action items we agreed on were only done half-heartedly. That's when I realized the core of the problem: they did not appreciate the future issue that will happen if we don't do so and so tasks now. There's a saying: Prevention is better than cure, but in real-world, sometimes you need to get hit with the problem in your face to be able to internalize the why and then work on measures. So that's what we did, created a simulation to get hit in the face. Will share an update here on how it goes! Fingers crossed. P.S. I absolutely LOVE doing these calls as it's almost like breaking a LLM with prompts. You don't know what training data the other person has gone through, so it's quite an exciting challenge! π, |
